Shortstop Jose Reyes left the yard and Roy Oswalt tossed a complete game as
the Dart Weasels defeated the Tombstone Huckleberries 6 to 1 at the
ballpark.
Dart took the lead off Carlos Silva in the first inning scoring a single run
utilizing 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Michael Barrett delivered
a one-base hit. Brian Giles came next and he slapped a base-hit. Ben
Broussard then hit a deep fly scoring the run. Dart totaled 14 on the
afternoon.
The win was credited to Oswalt(18-8) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Silva(15-6) suffered the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 12 hits in 6 and 2/3
innings.
